優しい陽の光

ちょうどパソコンをしている部屋の窓からとっても優しい陽の光が差し込んできてこちらまで穏やかな気分にさせてくれます。
私の大好きな画家、モネは光を題材にさまざまな油絵を描いています。日の光を受けて刻々と変化する景色を見てその一瞬をとらえたかったそうです。昔私が学生のころアメリカのボストンで見たモネの絵画展。その中でモネが書き残したこと、そしてその横の数々の彼の絵を見て涙があふれて止まらなかったことを思い出しました。
Would you like to have some penpals from America? I have a friend who has 26 4th grade kids who are looking for penpals in Japan. I can take a few of them, but not all 26. If you don’t have any students who want to have a penpal, do you know any other teachers who might?

Unfortunately, my students are too young to write English letters. Do American kids write any Japanese words?
I think in a couple of years my students will be able to communicate in English. Is it too late?
Anyway, I’ll ask some of my friends who teach English whether their students are interested in American penpals or not.
