Summer evening gathering at kindergarten

Friday Jul 21, 2006

Yesterday was the first semester’s last day for my daughter. She came back home around noon and after having had lunch, I took her to the kindergarten again to join the summer evening gathering.Students used to spend one night at the kindergarten about ten years ago, but nowadays they just spend several hours there and have a lot of fun, swimming, eating watermelon, watching a juggling show, doing fireworks and eating dinner together. When she came back home, her face was filled with the atmosphere of happiness and satisfaction.

About myself 3

Saturday Jul 15, 2006

I want to write about myself after I started to work at Kansai University. If you haven’t read "About myself 1" and "About myself 2" yet, please read them first.

As a matter of fact, when I returned to Japan from the United Stated, I wanted to go to a graduate school majoring English literature. One day I told my father that I wanted to study more, he said to me "If you want to go to a graduate school, work first and make money for it by yourself".

Therefore I decided to work for a few years. But once I started working in the fuculty of Engineering office at Kansai University, I found it very interesting and challenging. After all, I had worked there for 7 years until I left my job as a result of my hospitarization.

After I regained my health, I tried to study for the exam of a graduate school. I took several classes as an auditor. But unfortunately or fortunately, I found that I got pregnant, and I had to give up to study. Since that time, 7 years has passed. Still now I sometimes wonder that if I have a chance again, I want to try to get the ticket at a graduate school.

Sweet Ten!

Sunday Jul 9, 2006

Ten years has passed since I got married. Today my husband gave me a necklace, so called "Sweet Ten" in Japanese, as a present for 10 years anniversary. I was so happy to have it. As I wrote here in my blog before, my husband works very hard every day, so he is always tired. Because of that, we sometimes have quarrels. But today, I really appreciated his affection. Though he is now taking a nap, I won’t wake him up and let him sleep as long as he wants.

Being a mother, what a wonderful thing it is!

Thursday Jul 6, 2006

I’ve been a mother for about 6 years. Though sometimes I wish I could have more time just for myself, I gratitude for my children growing up without a big trouble. My 2-year-old son doesn’t speak proper Japanese yet but because of that I feel how lovely he is. He always follows to me wherever I go in my house, even to the toilet, saying "Mammy, mammy!". When I’m very tired, it makes me angry, but since I know that he would never say in such a way in 15 years, I want to treasure this moment.

What do you like to do in a park?

Sunday Jul 2, 2006

Today I went to a park with my children in the evening. Though it rained heavily when we went to Suita Church in the morning, the sun appeared around 4 o’clock and we decided to go to a park near Hankyu Suita Station.

I did a swing with my son on my lap. As a matter of fact, I like a swing the best in a park. I felt very happy looking at my children playing around in a park. I thought it would be very difficult to go to a park by myself and do a swing in 10 years. Anyway, I saw green trees in the sky and felt the wind around us. How comfortable it was! I thanked God for being alive myself and my children’s healthy grown-up.
